The Father of the Nation, Bangabondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman visited this college in 3rd July 1972 and planted a coconut tree. In the memory of his doing, a sculpture of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was build by KDA (Khulna Development Corporation). Khulna city Meyor Talukdar Abdul Khalek inaugurated the sculpture in the victory day ceremony in 2011. The sculpture was designed by Md. Masudul Haqe.
