Benapole is a beautiful municipal area and the biggest land port of Bangladesh but keep in mind there have a lots of brokers and they aren’t good person. So, be careful.
Benapole is a border town in Bangladesh, the most commonly used crossover when traveling between Kolkata and Dhaka. The Indian side is called Haridaspur. Local central business district...there are available buses for satkhira & beanpole...you can go to these places via local buses which depart a bus per hour & paribahan coming from Dhaka if you are lucky. An important place for Satkhira, Jessore & Benapole. Benapole is the most important landport for tourism. too much busy place & dusty, sunny. This bus stop is very crowded and unhygienic place. But it's quite important for travellers between jessore,benapole and satkhira. Buses left to their certain places from here. You're here to do one thing: walk across the border. On the Bangladeshi side, you can walk the 2km to the bus stop or take a rickshaw for Tk 5. On the Indian side the bus stop is near the immigration office. As you step out of the immigration office to the official moneychanger's stalls, there may be people sitting around who can arrange a taxi to Kolkata. The price starts at 900, but is usually more.
