Founder of Shadhana Aushodhalay, Yogesh Chandra Ghosh, was the Professor Of Chemestry of Bhagalpur College. He was the pioneer of Ayurbheda in Bangladesh. It is an ancient medical theory intoduced by Charak(চরক) who was born in 800AD. He wrote Charak Sanghita(চরক সংহিতা) based on Ayurbheda. Actually Ayurbheda had a history of 8000 years. Shadhana Aushodhalay is serving people with various effective Ayurbhedic medicines.

সাধনা ঔষধালয় ভারত উপমহাদেশের বিখ্যাত আয়ুব্বের্দ ঔষধ প্রস্তুতকারক প্রতিষ্ঠান। সাধনা ঔষধালয় বাংলাদেশের রাজধানী ঢাকার গেন্ডারিয়ার দীননাথ সেন রোডে অবস্থিত। এটি প্রতিষ্ঠা করেছিলেন যোগেশচন্দ্র ঘোষ। বিপুল সাফল্যের কারনে এক সময় চীন ও উত্তর আমেরিকায় সাধনা ঔষধালয়ের শাখা বা এজেন্সী ছিল ।সাধনা ঔষধালয়ের প্রধান কার্যালয় ঢাকার গেন্ডারিয়ায় প্রায় দুই একর জমির উপর প্রতিষ্ঠিত। এখন সাধনা ঔষধালয় কেবল বাংলাদেশ ও ভারত এ রয়েছে। বাংলাদেশে এর ৬৮টি বিক্রয়কেন্দ্র রয়েছে। একসময় প্রায় ৪৫০ প্রকারের ঔষধ থাকলেও বর্তমানে ১২০ প্রকারের ঔষধ প্রস্তুত করা হয়।
