A.K. Khan Container Terminal (AKKCT) BGTL will facilitate handling of containers by riverine routes between Dhaka and Chittagong and to provide staffing, un-staffing and distribution facilities especially to the Garment Sectors and other export oriented industries located in and around Dhaka Division. Construction of Inland Container Terminal (ICT) and the proposed Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for this project has already started on 250 acres of land in Rupganj, Narshingdi, Dhaka. There is no trace of goods by the jetties in the AKKEZ project of A. K. Khan and Company Limited. But it is under construction. In order to use the river bank (riverbank), the agreement has already signed the agreement with BIWTA to use the arrow of 2.38 acres (foreshore).
