Its a nice place for visiting half day with family. Place is very nice, neat & clean. Now the place is using as police training school.
A quite and calm place to enjoy yourself with old palace's beauty and good environment.
This zamindar house has a tarnished memory. On 14 May 1971, during the Great War of Independence of Bangladesh, the Pak army attacked the Mehera zamindar's house and brutally shot dead five villagers, including his wife Jogmaya Roy Chowdhury, standing behind the temple of Chowdhury Lodge. Mehera Zamindar Bari is spread over an area of \u200b\u200babout eight (8) acres at a distance of about 18 km from Tangail Sadar in Dhaka Division of Bangladesh. Mehera Zamindar Bari is located about 4 km east of Natiapara Bazar on the Dhaka-Tangail Highway. In front of the entrance of this zamindar's house there is a huge lake called 'Bishakha Sagar' and there are two beautiful gates to enter the house. There are also two more ponds at the back of the main building called Pasra Pond and Rani Pond and there is a beautiful flower garden in the decoration. Adjacent to the Vishakha Sagar, on the south side, there is a huge Amr Kanan and three huge main buildings with the house of Naib Sahib, Kachari Ghar, Gomstader Ghar, Dighi and three more lodges.
The place is now used for Police Training center. Nobody is allowed to enter into the buildings. There's a park in the backside. Even people can arrange picnic with permission. Ticket fair 80 for above 5 years old people. Theres a restaurant also and the price of the foods are regular.
Ver nice place. Ideal for a day family vacation. It is safe cause it is just inside Police training camp.
Mohera Jamindar Bari, Situated in Mohera (Tangail). I went there last September of 2020. It's a huge area with many attractive things to enjoy. Though the entry fee is quite high (80 Tk per person). Now-a-days this place is used as a Police training academy. Bangladesh police did a great job by taking this place. They maintained this place properly and the entire area is so neat and clean. There are many big ponds which are so beautiful. There is also a big restaurant to eat. It is a nice place to visit with your family.
A historical place to visit is Mohera Jamidar House. It's built in 1890 and it’s been reconstructed between 2015-2017. A very clean nice beautiful place surrounded and guarded by Bangladesh Police. It's now used as Police training center from 1990. Entry fee is very very high (80tk per person). Children upto 5years is free. Here is a mini zoo, a children's park with many rides, a swimming pool(per person 300tk)and well decorated picnic spot. Go and enjoy your pleasure time with your friends and family.
