It is Government Office near Khulna University. It's a Regional Weather Research Center in Khulna. The office area is small. The building is a small one with few rooms. And equipments are not enough either. There are only a few machines that collect and read the weather data, they are old and small. However, its condition need to be improved so that its service role could be effective.

Everyday this station collect weather data like temperature, wind speed, wind direction, precipitation, humidity etc. Here, also forecast weather for long or short period of Khulna. It's has played a great role in the field of research at environment in Khulna by providing data. Students of Urban and Rural Planning Discipline have benefitted from this weather center. But this weather station is faced a lack of modern equipment that is necessary to precise data.
I think, even on the day of the End of the World, they will telecast that the weather is fine and no disaster is projected in weeks. The weather office proposes and God disposes, that's the simple equation.
