It came into existence on 09 April, 2008 with the active initiative of some committed and enthusiastic development activists having long working experience in grassroots development. The main thrust of IMI is to organize and mobilize the rural and urban hard-core poor, destitute women and vulnerable children and to promoting the socio-economic status and improving human rights situation of the disadvantaged and marginalized people towards achieving a free and dignified and living society for all.On the other hand to carry on the business in provide certification training and internal training on international standards, social compliance and monitoring system, ETI based code of conduct, different buyer’s workplace based code of conduct, local & international law, fire safety and occupational safety related issues and to develop local factories for making compliance related issues sustainable, to assists peoples of Bangladesh having a better life and to conduct research survey on formal and non-formal education, health issues, fire safety issues, environmental issue, social responsibility of different groups.IMI is registered with the Directorate of Social Services, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh vide Registration No. Kush-873/09, Dated: 09/04/2009. IMI has also registered with Joint Stock Companies & Firms, Bangladesh.
