The project aims to identify the needs of people with a psychosocial disability, and break the barriers that affect their capacity to participate in the community. This project aims to empower everyone to have a voice and identity in the society. We organize support groups where people can come to share their experience and learn from others in the presence of an Occupational Therapist from the National Institute of Mental Health, Bangladesh. Project volunteers are trained in skills for providing psycho-social support from the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology of Dhaka University, who assist people with psychosocial disability as friends and advocates. Therefore, both the youth of marginalized and non-marginalized groups of people and institutions are developing and enabling themselves to help each other create a more inclusive society. Besides this, the project also aims to provide technical assistance to social institutions such as schools and employers to become disability inclusive.
