State Guest House, Jamuna is the largest and most elite guest house among the other two, Padma and Meghna, in Dhaka. The building was commissioned during the period of President Hussain Md. Ershad. The building was designed in Victorian Architectural pattern. Currently this building has been maintained by City Division of PWD.
It's quite and a nice place
this is now the office of the Honourable Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, the State Minister for Foreign Affairs, and the office of the Protocol Wing of Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bangladesh.
As the title says its a state guest house, and if if you are a guest of the state then you definitely know what to expect, it has all the luxuries that you may need. I haven't been to many state guest houses so I don't have any comparisons, but what I can say is it's a very well maintained, well furnished, clean and luxurious place.
A Bungalow (once located at north of British Council, now demolished) in Fuller Road at Dhaka University Campus in 1960's. The building design resemblance with Chummery House and the old State Guest House at Hare Road.
It's a very beautiful building, built in a classic style. Staff is friendly and welcoming. The property is well maintained and has a rich history of it's own.
Nice place. Well kept
