A historical place. But the heritage is not being protected at all. You can enjoy the architecture style. It's located on the bank of Buriganga River.

A businessesman named Ruplal built this house on the brink of the Buriganga once. Now due to preservative steps from the authorities concerned this once a scenic structure turned into godowns of Onions,Garlics and other kitchen essentials. This house is on the verge of ruin, archaeological department should have taken steps to protect it almost 40 years ago,may be it could have been protected, renovated and turned into a rest house, now nothing can be done as they've reached such a point of low.

Mainuddin Kaisar

A place where time has stopped. The building still poise the same grandeur as it once did amidst all the misuse that will catch your eye from trading house to warehouse to entire markets on the ground floor to the illegal squatters to the army encampment. One can easily feel nostalgic even before entering the main premises among all the hustle and neglect the building stands the test of time and people to show what Dhala once was and the taste its resident once had. Hand down the best heritage site of the city i would say.
