To cope up with increasing magnitude of academic activities, the need for establishment of a "Statutory Board" was keenly felt. A statutory body namely "The East Pakistan Technical Education Board" was established through Act. No. 1 of 1967 of the then East Pakistan Assembly, which is now Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB). Thus the Bangladesh Technical Education Board came into existence with the jurisdiction over the entire area of Bangladesh to organize, supervise, regulate, control and develop technical and vocational education. The Board in its present form became operative with effect from June 1969.

BTEB is the only regulatry body of all technical institution of Bangladesh. All kind of related services can be done here. I was here to attest my certificate of diploma in engineering. To done this process- - You have to submit your all documents (which you want to attest) here in the morning. and have to pay 50 taka per document in the selected bank. Be informed that if you want to attest marksheet of all semester. you have to attest your some marksheets (which semesters exam are taken in own institute) from your own institutes head first with a form which may be found in institute. - In the evening (4pm - 5pm) of the day of submisson your documents will be back to you with attestation if no problem occur. Best of luck for all. The services provided by them have many things to improve.
Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) is one and only board for the technical education in Bangladesh. It is situated in Agarga, Mirpur, Dhaka. This plays is the central of all the vocational and technical institutions in the country. This place is easy to trace. Take a bus what goes to Agarga and get off just the next stop of IDEB, go 100yards west and you will find the place. It is a well decorated place. It has a large dedicated parking. The parking is wheelchair accessable, but the entrance is not wheel chair accessable. It has got a new building which is literally very well decorated. The large conference room is too good. The whole place is very neat and clean. This place is has a great contribution for making the students technically advanced.
Those who come here for help need to be treated better.
