The Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council (BM&DC) is a statutory body with the responsibility of establishing and maintaining high standards of medical education and recognition of medical qualifications in Bangladesh. It registers doctors to practice in Bangladesh, in order to protect and promote the health and safety of the public by ensuring proper standards in the practice of medicine. Bangladesh Medical Council was first formed under Bangladesh Medical Council Act. in 1973. Subsequently the Act. of 1973 was repealed in 1980. Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council Act. was passed by the Parliament on 09-04-1980 to provide for the constitution of Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council. This Council has its office only in Dhaka. The Council is headed by a President who is elected by the members of the Council from amongst themselves.

I went there for BMDC registration and the experience was horrible!!! The process was very lengthy and annoying! It took 4-5 hours where it could be done at only 30 minutes. What I have realised there, they enjoy & love to harass students those come from different places of Bangladesh!!

Doing approval for doctor duty in Bangladesh and oversees too to work in Bangladesh health care services. They are very busy as they have open their office. No online service available. For each approval need to submit application and relevant papers. They doing their job very smoothly and update information for BMDC registration. Office in mid of Dhaka. For records and registration fees not so high but need online and prompt service. Better to call each time beefier go their office. For food they have many restaurants shop near area and those who come from far they can rent hotel also near by area. Maximum payment cash if cheque needed or bank draft they mention it properly.
