Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM) department is one of the engineering degree awarding departments of Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET). This department started its academic activities in 2001 with postgraduate program under the faculty of Mechanical Engineering in KUET. Later on the undergraduate program named Bachelor of Science in Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE) was launched with 30 students intake in 2006, and 60 students are admitted into the undergraduate program from 2009-2010 session. The vision of the IEM department is to create leaders who can lead the country’s industrial sector and who will take the country in the list of world most developed countries. These leaders will change the scenario of the stream of industrial development by an innovative and productive way. All the activities of the department are planned in accordance with the vision.
