We have been founded after first world war in the year 1919 by a group of senior transport professionals determined to change the world of Logistics and Transport. In 1926 we were granted a Royal Charter by King George V with himself as the Patron and the Prince of Wales as the Honorary President. The Institute grew in importance and influence across the world. Now, we are a global membership organization and we currently have over 35000 members worldwide in over 100 countries represented by local branches and territories in 35 countries including Bangladesh. At CILT Bangladesh Council, we have senior members from various private and public organizations which include Secretaries (retired and in-service), entrepreneurs, industrialists, economists, senior engineers and technocrats from Roads and Highways Dept., Railway officials, top level executives from Maritime and RMG sectors, Members from Armed Forces, Freight Forwarding and SCM Professionals, Trade Logisticians and renowned Academicians. Our current president of CILT Bangladesh Council is Mr. Mohiuddin Abdul Kadir FNI FCILT FCIArb, an industry veteran with 38 years of post-qualification experience in maritime, transport and logistics. You will appreciate that there is a significant gap in the market for professional qualifications in the supply chain logistics and transport sector in Bangladesh.
