The Mazar or Dargah (shrine) is located on the north of Chittagong Central Jail and on the east of the Laldighi Maidan. This Dargah was built in nineteenth century. It is learnt that Hazrat Shah Amanat (R) served for a long time as a peon in the Judge Court. This is why his spiritual powers were unknown to people for a long time.
