This is the only fully residential University of Bangladesh. It is one of the most beautiful green campuses in the world. The University has a vast natural beauty. Students are so much friendly and daring although teachers are not so qualified and they have lack of moral responsibility. It is situated just 30 Kilometres near Dhaka and the national monument is two minutes distance from here.
Jahangirnagar University is one of the only and full-fledged residential public universities in Bangladesh. The company is located in Savar area near Dhaka with an area of \u200b\u200babout 698.58 acres. Although the university was established in 1970, its activities started in 1972. The university has faculties of Arts and Humanities, Mathematics and Physics, Social Sciences, Biology, Business Education and Law and 4 institutes. The university campus is bounded on the north by the National Memorial, on the northeast by the Savar Cantonment, on the south by the Bangladesh Public Administration Training Center and on the east by a large dairy farm. The lush environment and biodiversity of the university is extremely captivating. Numerous water bodies of the university have developed it as a migratory bird sanctuary which has made it one of the favorite places for bird watchers. It is universally recognized as the only residential university in Bangladesh.
Jahangirnagar University (JU) is a public university in Bangladesh, based in Savar, Dhaka.[2] It is one of the top and only fully residential university of Bangladesh.[3] The university was established in 1970 by the Jahangirnagar Muslim University Ordinance of the government of Pakistan. Its first vice-chancellor, Mafizuddin Ahmed (PhD in chemistry, Penn State) took up office on 24 September 1970. The first group of students, a total of 150, were enrolled in four departments: Economics, Geography, Mathematics, and Statistics. Its formal inauguration was delayed until 12 January 1971, when the university was launched by Rear Admiral S. M. Ahsan, the chancellor. It operated as a project until 1973, when the 'Jahangirnagar Muslim University Act' was amended as the 'Jahangirnagar University Act'. In 2014, the university had 16,781 students, 755 teachers, and 1,430 other employees. It has been ranked 3rd several times in national public university rankings.

We always love to go back to the campus during the winter because it's lovely to walk around the greenery, watch the birds and the crowd.
