It's a single room museum with very limited collection of articles. Only Bharat Bhaina Buddhist Temple artifacts are native to the region, whereas moat of the items have been imported from other regions of the country. The hexagonal building itself is a good piece of architecture but the content of the museum is rather disappointing.

Khulna Divisional Museum is the only museum of Khulna City. It was established by Bangladesh Archaeological Department. It is the second largest museum in Bangladesh after Bangladesh National Museum by area. This museum is full of archaeological evidence, structures & photos of South Bengal. The archaeological excavation leftovers from "Bharata Bhayana" (kingdom of King bharat) are kept here. Bharat Rajar Deul (site name), has yielded the substantial ruins of a brick-built curious structure. It has also yielded some busts of princely male figures, Hindu God, Goddess structure, potteries of early medieval origin etc. On stylistic ground they may be dated in circa 5th-6th century AD. Gold and silver coin from Emperor Jehangir's time is also displayed here. This museum is full of archaeological evidence, structures & photos of South Bengal. The archaeological things from Bharata Bhayana are kept here. খুলনা বিভাগীয় যাদুঘরটি খুলনা শহরের একমাত্র জাদুঘর। এটি বাংলাদেশ প্রত্নতাত্ত্বিক বিভাগ প্রতিষ্ঠা করেছিল। এটি এলাকাতে বাংলাদেশ জাতীয় যাদুঘরের পরে বাংলাদেশের দ্বিতীয় বৃহত্তম যাদুঘর। এই জাদুঘরটি দক্ষিণবঙ্গের প্রত্নতাত্ত্বিক প্রমাণ, কাঠামো এবং ছবিতে পূর্ণ। "ভারত ভায়ানা" (রাজার ভারত রাজত্ব) থেকে প্রাপ্ত প্রত্নতাত্ত্বিক খননকাজগুলি এখানে রাখা হয়েছে। ভারত রাজার দেউল (সাইটের নাম), একটি ইটের তৈরি কৌতূহল কাঠামোর যথেষ্ট ধ্বংসাবশেষ পেয়েছে। এছাড়াও এটি আঞ্চলিক ভিত্তিতে রৌপ্য পুরুষদের মূর্তি, হিন্দু Godশ্বর, দেবী কাঠামো, মধ্যযুগীয় প্রাথমিকের মৃৎশিল্প ইত্যাদির কয়েকটি বাস পেয়েছিল st সম্রাট জাহাঙ্গীরের সময় থেকে সোনার রৌপ্য মুদ্রা এখানে প্রদর্শিত হয়। এই জাদুঘরটি দক্ষিণবঙ্গের প্রত্নতাত্ত্বিক প্রমাণ, কাঠামো এবং ছবিতে পূর্ণ। ভারত ভায়না থেকে প্রাপ্ত প্রত্নতাত্ত্বিক জিনিসগুলি এখানে রাখা হয়েছে।
This museum is located in Shivbari, the heart of Khulna city. Being the only museum in Khulna city, the people of Khulna are very proud of it. Although the museum is crowded on different holidays, the museum is generally empty. Many come here just to pass the time. Hang out outside the museum.
