I love this place...so many memory here.this place not just a mills its a heart to our mills employers. The environment of this place is quite,beautiful.deep er par is so beautiful place...we can do winter tour or picnic here...women are save here...the natural beauty

This is a govt. Mill, it is 100 acre and has the capability to extract from 14k tons of sugarcane in a single day.

Joypurhat Sugar Mill is the 2nd biggest sugar mill in Bangladesh. It produce sugar all over the year and supply fresh and quality sugar to the whole country. This is one of the oldest sugar mills in Bangladesh. Joypurhat sugar mill is a property of Bangladesh government. The sugar mill covers a huge area around it. There are residential area, school, market, mosque, ponds are many other things inside its' territory.

I worked here in 2007-2008 as an Assistant Manager. I missed those memorable days. Indeed, it is an integrated process, nothing is wastage here. Sugar is being produced from juice of sugarcane and bagasse is being used for steam production in boiler, this steam is being used for steam turbine in mill house and pump house as well as to generate power (18 MW power plant so far I can recall memory). Interestingly, remaining bagasse is being sold to paper mills to produce paper. Even the residue of sugar (Molasses) is being sold to produce medicine /wine. Alas ! though this industry is being counted as loss industry.
