UCEP is a registered Non-government and non-profit organization working in 10 districts of Bangladesh. We help to learn skills to earn. The key focus is providing underprivileged children and youth an access to vocational skills training in 10 technical schools and other centers. We have 25 trade related 3-6 months courses followed by supporting them in finding wage-employment and developing self-employment as well as entrepreneurship. Thanks The importance of education is immense in skills training and thus we have the option of providing Grade V to VIII education (provided in 3 years condensed model based on the national curriculum) and literacy and life skills remedial program for 1 year in 53 schools in the 10 districts. Our students appear in PSC and JSC examination. After Grade VIII completion the students can join trade-courses, admit is UCEP SSC Vocational courses in 5 of our technical schools or continue in other mainstream schools. After taking training from UCEP technical schools the trainees are provided gainful employment both the wage and self-employment. UCEP also established polytechnic institute to provide higher vocational education through 4 years diploma program in different courses. UCEP Institute of Science and technology (UIST) Dhaka is the first polytechnic established in 2015 and gradually more such institutes will be established. UCEP Training Institute (UTI) in Dhaka and Sylhet is providing trainings in different skills areas. Child and Woman Rights Advocacy program is trying to increase awareness and engagement of children, youth, community, employers and others in ensuring education and skills development for more underprivileged children and youth especially girls. Partnership with bilateral and other donors, international organizations, government, private sector and individuals to mobilize resources in providing the services to the underprivileged children and youth is another continual effort of UCEP.
UCEP works to ensure technical education to the underprivileged children and youth. Its provide free education for children and youth though UTI, UITS. Its has 32 schools which provide primary education to the children from class 5-8, beside these it also provide education to class 8-10 in their 5 institution.
