Oh Calcutta is one of the best Bengali restaurants in Dhaka and definitely lives up to the Bengali fine dining experience. The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance with nice decors. I would highly recommend everybody to visit this restaurant and try their wonderful range of food items. One of my favourite is their mouth watering Mutton Rogan Josh with soft warm luchi. Oh Calcutta! is one of my favorite restaurants in Dhaka. It serves fabulous, delicious, innovative, beautifully presented food and lives up to it's name and most importantly, their quality. They are the only restaurant in Dhaka that has such a unique fusion. It's really hard for me to pick my favorite dishes because I think all of their dishes are to die for but if I HAD to pick then I would say some of my favorite dishes are: Smoked Hilsa, Steamed Prawns with Coconut and Mustard, Prawns in a Traditional Coconut Cream Curry, Steamed Betki in Banana Leaves, Chicken Cooked in a Spicy Bangladeshi Mix and their luchis are the best! I highly recommend Oh Calcutta. I have never been disappointed with their service or food, worth every penny!
Tasty good traditional Kolkata food in Dhaka, bit pricey though. Good quiet place for business meeting.
They used to be good for authentic Bengali food, like bhapa ilish, vetki fish, patora etc. albeit at a higher price. People used to like the restaurant a lot. Why have they decided to close it down, I wonder!
