In Bangladesh.Summit Alliance Port Limited (SAPL) was initially incorporated as a private company under the Companies Act, 1994 on December 06, 2003 and converted to a Public Limited Company on March 06, 2008.The Company’s registered office is located at Katghar, South Patenga, Chittagong – 4204. Principal activities of the company are to provide Off-Dock services to its valued clients that include as under: Inland Container Depot comprising transportation and storage of empty containers and redelivery of the containers to various locations as per client’s advice. Container Freight Station comprising activities related to Export and Import cargo handling. The services that are provided include: Receiving of export cargo, storage of the same in bonded warehouse, documentation to complete formalities related to export, stuffing (loading) of the cargo in the container and transportation of the same after due customs formalities to the Port Container Yard or Vessel Hook as per Client’s advice. Receiving import cargo from port yard, documentation, unstuffing (unloading) of the same after due Customs formalities and handing over of cargo to clients. Company also provides some customized services to its clients, such as Container condition survey, its repair and maintenance; Fumigation; etc.

Summit Alliance Port Limited (SAPL) commenced operation on 20th February 2007 as a joint venture between Summit Group and Alliance Holdings Limited. SAPL started out initially by utilizing over 30 acres of Customs Bonded Area. Located only 6.50 km away from the multipurpose and container vessel berths of Chittagong Port, SAPL has an ideal geographical advantage to carry out its principal activities of providing Off-Dock services as Inland Container Depot with facilities for Empty Container Storage and Container Freight Station having provision for handling both Import and Export Cargo. With the recent merger & acquisition with Ocean Containers Limited, SAPL is presently the dominant market leader in the competitive Off – Dock sector, handling over 25% of total containerized export cargo and 15% of import cargo of Bangladesh’s entire containerized volume. To facilitate the operational volume, SAPL has one of the largest fleets in the industry with latest heavy and light equipments including the largest Laden Reach Stacker in the country. The modern infrastructure, which has been specially built to handle sensitive cargo during adverse weather conditions, includes over 50 acres of land and 450,000 sft of warehouse space. With its goodwill and team of dedicated & experienced work force, SAPL enjoys an esteemed clientele list including freight forwarders such as Damco, Kuehne Nagel Limited, APL Logistics Bangladesh Limited, and prestigious Main Line Operators such as Maersk, APL, NYK, Mitsui amongst others.
