A beautiful and peaceful place. You have to be careful when you visit here. Don’t come here with your girlfriend. Some local young people try to rob people and harass them. Be safe

Established in 1955 as East Pakistan Forest Research Laboratory, BFRI works under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment and Forest. BFRI is a research institute under Ministry of environment, forest and climate change. The journey of BFRI began in 1955 and it was formerly known as 'Forest Products Research Laboratory'. The aim of thia institution is to innovate technology to ensure maximum use of forest resources. They have different operational wings like- silviculture, bamboo, non timber forest product improvement etc. I was fortunate to visit this place in 2013 and 2018.
